Neighbour bets feel elegant—and can quietly overexpose your stack. This field guide shows how to map wheel sectors, cap exposure, and run 12–15 minute cycles with clear exits. No hunches: one table, one stake, one tidy log.
1) Wheel first, layout second
Chip stacks live on the felt, but risk lives on the wheel. Treat bets as sectors: zero-game, voisins, orphelins, tiers. Pick one core sector per block; everything else is garnish.
- Neighbour size: default to N=1 or N=2; N=4 is a separate, short test block only.
- Overlap rule: overlapping sectors count toward your cap (see below), not “free coverage”.
2) Exposure cap (keeps sessions affordable)
- Main unit: flat 1–2% bankroll per round; fixed within the block.
- Sector cap: total neighbours + straight ups ≤ 3× main unit per round.
- Rhythm: one sector every round; side pips (straights/splits) at most every third round.
3) 12–15 minute cycle (one table, one pace)
- Setup (2 min): write the sector, neighbour size (N), and exits: day closes at +2 units or −3 units from day’s peak.
- Play (8–11 min): fixed chip map; no chasing last numbers or “due” streaks.
- Log (2 min): start→end, peak, DD%, hits on-sector vs. off-sector, mood 1–5.
4) Micro-metrics that matter
- On-sector hit %: hits ÷ spins with the current sector map.
- Chip density: chips per pocket in the active sector (keep stable).
- Drawdown guard: close the block at −10–15% from block peak—even if time remains.
5) Two working maps (copy & play)
- Zero-game N=2: neighbours on 0 with light straights on 26/32. Purpose: disciplined coverage, modest cost.
- Tiers N=1 + two straights: tiers base with two rotating straights inside tiers. Purpose: add spice without spiking cost.
6) Frequent mistakes (and quick fixes)
- Layout creep: map expands every miss → fix: sector cap = 3× unit, hard stop.
- Stake & map change together: data turns mush → fix: change one variable per block.
- Near-miss tilt: “two pockets away” isn’t a signal → fix: timer closes, not feelings.
